Teaching Workshops

Both our teaching workshops are fully equipped. Our ceramics studio contains 3 electric wheels and 2 electric kilns whilst our jewellery studio contains 10 bespoke work benches, hearth, rolling mill, pickle tank, polishers and casting equipment. The space and all equipment is available to rent to makers on an hourly basis.

At the centre of Making Space there is a courtyard for makers and visitors to meet, share ideas and enjoy the sunshine.

Individual Artists/artist groups/current tenants – £10 day time/£12.00 evening
Criteria: A practitioner progressing their own practice or working in a group.
The practitioner(s) should not be making a charge for their time if they are teaching.

Charities and community groups £14.00 day/£17.00 evening
This would include voluntary groups.
Please note this also also includes maker led projects where the maker is paid or charges for their time.

Statutory organisations, such as local government, schools and colleges – £17 day / £22 evening

Businesses – £22.00 day or £28.00 evening

£10 cost per hiring of the kiln
10% reduction if bookings are made for the whole term
15% if the booking is a weekly session, which lasts over two seasons (i.e., 6 months or more) with a term’s fee payable in advance/or a deposit.
