All adult Saturdays are £40 per day (including most materials) unless stated otherwise. Workshops run 10am-3pm. 10 places only so booking is essential.

Keum Bo Earrings
with Sarah Macrae
Keum Bo is an ancient Korean technique by which pure gold is fused to the surface of the silver, creating a permanent bond. Combined with surface texture & roller printing unique pieces are created. Have a go at designing and making some pairs of earrings.

Silk Painted Scarves
with Ami Lowman
Create your own beautiful scarf to take home or give as a gift. After coming up with some initial drawings you will use gutta to ‘draw’ your design onto a length of silk. Once the gutta is dry you can either dip dye your scarf or ‘colour in’ your design using silk paints. This ancient Japanese technique creates a beautifully soft and professional finish.

Tibetan Style Wish Flags

Get involved in making Tibetan style wish flags to decorate a tree or room – using all sorts of fabrics/paints /threads and other embellishments, decorate and write positive wishes on various sized rectangular strips of fabric! During the day you should be able to complete enough to form a chain of them.

Natural Dyed Silk Bunting

Get ahead for your summer BBQ and make natural dyed silk bunting to wow your guests with. Pattern and dye triangles of silk using natural dyes and attach them to cord to form a line of bunting.

Batik Scarves

Have a go at something different… Using Tjantings – Traditional batik tools used to draw precise lines of hot wax onto the material, you can transfer your own designs before adding colour or dyeing the fabric to create a beautiful scarf.

Machine stitch on soluble material to create exciting lace fabrics. Combine machine embroidery with applied fabrics and threads to make beautiful lace fabric.

Come away from this workshop with at least one bangle made in silver! You will be taken through the process of how to make your bangle and encouraged to come up with your own design. Most materials supplied, but please bring along any metal you wish to incorporate into your design, more materials will be available to buy if needed!
