Open Access Jewellery & Glass
A fantastic opportunity to come and get on with your own work, network & further your skills…
Open Access is about enabling people with some experience to make self-directed work. Practice your skills including those learnt on previous Making Space courses with an experienced brain on hand in both jewellery and glass. You will need to bring your own materials but the cost of each day covers the use of our equipment.
The cost is £30 per Saturday for which the space will be available 10am-3pm. Alternatively book 3 sessions for £81. (to be used within a 5 month period) Individual kiln firings are extra (£10 per firing)

Beginners Jewellery Sessions
Making Space has started to run beginners jewellery sessions on a Saturday morning to give you the skills you need to advance onto the Basic 10-wk jewellery course or some of our Adult Saturday Workshops.
Saturday 15 June & 20 July | £18 per session exc. materials but these can be brought from the tutor | 10.30am – 12.30pm
Jewellery Courses
Making Space regularly runs 10-week jewellery courses to suit all levels of expertise, from basic knowledge to competent advanced students. The beginners course will cover all the basics including measuring, cutitng, sawing, soldering, finishing and wirework. Intermediate and Advanced courses will involve some tuition but will mainly support you on self-led projects.
A 10-week course costs £110. This doesn’t include materials, but starter packs and materials will be available to purchase.

5-Week Glaze Firing Course
with Peter Levy
Learn about glaze firing and have fun with simple brush on glazes or experiment further with making your own exciting glazes from basic materials. Bring your own bisque ware to decorate or make test tiles for your own reference and gain practical experience of oxidising glazes in electric kilns.
Tuesdays 4, 11, 18, 25 June, 2 July. 7-9pm | £100 including most materials.
5-Week Textile Printing and Painting
with Rachel Reynolds
Pattern, print and texture will be explored and developed using a variety of printing techniques. A collection of fabric and paper samples will be produced using lino printing, transfer printing, stencil and screen-printing. This course is aimed at beginners and intermediates.
Tuesdays 25 June, 2, 9, 16, 23 July 10.30am-12.30pm | £95 including all materials.
5-Week Exploration of Fused Glass
with Kate O’Connell
The perfect course for anyone wanting to add a bit of creative time to their weekly schedule. This fused glass course cab accommodate all levels of experience, from advanced students wanting the time and space to work on their own designs to complete beginners wanting to learn this intriguing and colourful craft form.
Thurdays 6, 13, 20, 27 June, 4 July. 6-8pm | £125 including most materials.
