CRAFTING RESPITE

Making Space is delighted to announce a new project generously funded by The Portsdown Art Society.

Crafting Respite is a creative programme of activity specifically for those that have caring responsibilities such as looking after a child, parent or significant other etc. The project is designed for adults and and grown up teens aged 16yrs+ (Ther is no upper age limit)

Making Space will host 6 inspiring creative sessions designed to suit all levels of experience.  We will cover a range of activity ensuring there is something for everyone. We are hoping to establish a group of 10 participants to join for the entirety of the programme.

All of the sessions will take place on Thursdays from 10am-12noon and the project plan is as follows:

29 May - Creative Typography Collage
5 June - Air-Dry Clay
26 June - Hand Embroidery
3 July - Felt Decorations
17 July - Print Making
24 July - Beaded Jewellery

There will also be an opportunity for each member of the group to attend one free Craft Community Session of their choice too!

The project is completely free to access and there is no official application process, we just need a brief description of the care you provide.
