Commissioned Outreach is where an organisation, group or business approach Making Space and ask us to design and deliver a bespoke creative workshop or project exclusively for them / their users.
Each project is completely unique because it has been designed specifically to meet the core objectives, individual needs of the user group and budget.

naval children's charityMaking Space is delighted to have partnered with The Naval Children's Charity to offer a creative opportunities for children of Naval families. From May 2026 to February 2027 we are hosting a series of creative workshops at Making Space which children can attend for FREE!

EMPOWER YOU / youth hubEmpower You is Havant Youth Hub’s new programme supporting 18-24 year olds to build confidence and develop essential life skills. Young people get the opportunity to participate in a variety of personal development activities. Making Space offers a variety of creative workshops for the different cohorts of young people providing high quality creative experiences working alongside a professional maker.

asylum seekers summer programmeFor the last five years Making Space has worked with Portsmouth City Council, providing high quality creative workshops with groups of young asylum seekers. The project is specifically aimed at helping unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and young people on their education journey.. From learning how to guild a frame, to making ceramic sculptures, these sessions provide those most vulnerable with a creative opportunity to express themselves, learn new skills and have fun.
