alex woodheadAlex is a Southampton based photographer specialising in analogue photography. His work covers a wide range of subjects all captured on 35mm film.
Speaking about his preference for film over digital photography, Alex states: "working with film allows me to feel immersed in my surroundings and in the subject I am shooting. When I am free from screens and the immediate feedback that digital photography gives, I can be more spontaneous and find freedom from perfectionism. The joy of analogue lies in its limitations, frustrations and imperfection" |
bird on a wireMargo has always worked with textiles and fell in love with handmade Soutache jewellery whilst visiting Spain. This Soutache technique is used in the embroidery of military and period costume and can also be used to make large pieces of jewellery which contrast with their very lightweight. She designs and handmakes every unique piece and loves the combinations and textures which can be achieved with different elements such as wire combined with the soutache cord. Margo lives in Winchester and has also created millinery and hair accessories for many occasions. Her passion is working with textile techniques to create dramatic accessories.

florietsFloriets celebrates the timeless beauty and sustainability of dried flowers. Jess’ passion for flowers includes growing, photographing, drying and designing, capturing each stage and finding particular beauty in the everlasting form beyond a flower’s typical life-cycle. Conscious of the environmental impact that fresh flowers can have, Jess uses a combination of methods including air drying, sand drying, pressing and preserving to prolong the life of flowers, ornamental grasses and tree bark to be enjoyed for years to come. Each piece is meticulously handmade by Jess, working only with the highest quality dried flowers and ornamental grasses that were picked at their peak for the best final result. Coupled with a love of floristry and design inspires playful and contemporary designs for the home and to wear.

heart & soul Ceramic co.My name is Kelly and I am a ceramicist and mixed media craftsperson working on the south coast of England.

jane nevilleJane's ceramic jewellery stems from the possibilities of the shapes she creates. Using single organic shapes, or joining pieces together with wire, the outcomes balance simplicity with subtle complexities.
Jane's interest in Japanese aesthetics and the idea of simplicity, beauty and imperfection pair with achromatic colour and contrast is apparent in her work. Gold leaf is added to create an element of preciousness and to enhance the quality of the porcelain. Her fabric designs involve linear and curvilinear details, organic shapes and repetition to create pattern and interest. The use of colour and contrast accentuates the painted or stitched patterns and designs. |
julie weirJulie Weir is an internationally recognised professional artist who has taught and exhibited in many different mediums, including oils, acrylics, watercolour and more recently ceramics.
Clay came to her late in life, having surrounded herself with ceramicists, she discovered she was a ceramicist trapped in a watercolourist’s body. Julie quickly discovered that she was a natural. She is drawn to nature and wildlife, taking inspiration from the countryside of the south downs. Julie enjoys using the tactile nature of forming the Stoneware clay into ceramic flowers, seed heads and the mystical charm of Hares. She hand-builds each piece and uses glazes and oxides to provide colour and texture. |
labrador & moreLabrador and More is a charming blend of rural life with sustainable skincare. My journey began with a passion for creating, and a love of essential oils. Determined to craft something truly natural, I embarked on a mission to formulate daily-use soap free from preservatives, artificial colouring, foaming agents, and emulsifiers.
Just like in cooking, I believe in the power of simplicity - why settle for skincare filled with complicated ingredients when you wouldn't do the same with your food? Our goal is simple: to create fresh, beautifully scented products without any unnecessary additives. Join us on our journey to embrace nature's bounty and indulge in skincare that’s as pure as it is effective. Labrador and More might sound a bit quirky for a skincare company, but hey, life's too short for boring names. I absolutely love dogs and have a little cocker spaniel called Syd. |
pearlescent jewellery designsI have been in the art for over 20 years and have always had a love for metal especially silver and copper. Trained in textiles and print medium and also qualified carnival arts which I found the love working with metal when making a few bits for an exhibition. I have learnt my skills over the years and have a passion of working with Sterling Silver, Argentium Silver, bare copper and brass, adding a classic twist with Freshwater Cultured Pearls. I like to incorporate hammered flame painted copper art work, with my jewellery designs. My jewellery designs are influenced by the sea and the natural environment, especially trees.
