2024 - festive workshops
Join us this December for some Christmassy Crafting! We are hosting fourworkshops in December to get you feeling festive! Workshops can be booked online using TicketSource or just give us a call and we can take a booking over the phone. All workshops are 2hrs long and cost £35 including materials.

CRAFT COURSEs - CONTINUED LEARNING
Throughout the year Making Space programmes in regular craft courses with our associate makers. The courses run over three terms: Spring, Summer & Autumn/Winter. In each term there are two five week blocks. Details of our 2024 Creative Programme are listed below. Our termly creative courses cost £160 for a five week block, or you can block both blocks within a term for a discounted £260 - please call us directly on 023 9247 2491 to take advantage of our ten week discount, alternatively you can book a five week block by giving us a call.
Ceramics Course
Led by resident maker Kelly Ottesen, our Ceramics Courses will take you on a exporatory journey through the work of ceramics where you will learn a range of tecnical and experimental processess. Each week Kelly will lead you on a project with opportunities to glaze and fire your work throughout the process.

Dates | Block 2 | Mon 24 Feb, 3, 10, 17, 24 March silver clay coursesLed by associate maker Kath Clay, our Silver Clay Courses teach you an amazing way to make beautiful jewellery from ground-down, recycled silver which, when fired, becomes solid silver again. It is a truly magical craft to learn where you’ll experience lots of ‘wow’ moments.

jewellery courseLed by our resident jeweller Sharon Justice, our Jewellery Courses allow you to follow your own creative projects with expert guidance on hand from Sharon. If you are a complete beginner you will need to book a 121 induction with Sharon first where she can teach you all the basics before you book onto our Jewellery Course.
Our Jewellery Courses take place on on Tuesday mornings from 10am-12noon and Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm. Dates | Block 1 | Tues 4, 21, 28 Jan, 4, 11 Feb Dates | Block 2| Tues 25 Feb, 4, 11, 18, 25 March fused glass coursesLed by associate maker Elisa Dodd, our fused glass course allows you the freedom to design and create glass art using the method of glass fusing. Learn to cut glass, the different types of fusing to achieve different effects, encasing copper, kiln carving and reaction glass.

seasonal sessions
New for 2025 we will be launching our seasonal sessions. Taking place throughout the year, these one off five week courses will take place on Monday evenings from 7-9pm and each season will have a different focus and craft discipline. Check back soon for more information and booking details.
monthly masterclasses
New for 2025 we will be launching ten Monthly Masterclasses which will take place on a Saturday or Sunday throughout the year. We will be inviting guest tutors to deliver sessions that are a little different from our main craft courses. Check back soon for more information and booking details.
regular creative workshops
craft communityCraft Community is run by Tanya and Bethany Wood and takes place twice a month. A creative club for adults where participants learn new craft skills and techniques and work on creative projects. An opportunity to enjoy making in a relaxed informal group, meet new people, discover more about creativity and what they enjoy creating. Craft Community was funded by The Arts Council England for 18 months and the current funding has now finished. We are now seeking additional funding to relaunch Craft Community and will update here when new dates are released.

craft clubCraft Club is run by Catherine Claasen and takes place once a month for young people aged 7-14. A space where participants can make friends, learn new craft skills and enjoy creating! CraftologyCraftology is a weekly session for all things crafty.
Focusing on experimentation and play with different craft skills. Each week has a new take on what it means to be creative by introducing a range of different techniques and materials. Come and freely explore without the pressure of having to create a finished piece. This session is for everyone from people who have never made anything before, right up to seasoned professionals wanting to explore new ideas. Reach outReach Out is a programme of activity that is funded by Short Breaks for Hampshire SEN children and young people. Taking place in the schoool holidays, our sessions are led by professional makers and allow particiants to learn new skills, make friends and be in an environment that supports their additional needs. All those attending must have a vaild Hampshire Gateway Card+.
