Launched in 2012, Reach Out is an ongoing project supported by a Short Breaks Grant via Hampshire County Council.
We programme in workshops specifically for children with additional needs and a Hampshire Gateway Card+.
These high-quality creative sessions include lots of additional support and resources so that participants can have the best possible experience. Parents, carers and buddies are all welcome to attend but they don’t need to. The relaxed and friendly workshops are designed to give the parents or carers a short break.
We have had children grow up through Reach Out who then go on to join our mainstream activities and we have even supported some of these young people through various Arts Awards, volunteering, and paid teaching opportunities. This partnership project is a lifeline to many children and young people with additional needs local to us in Hampshire.
