New for 2025 we are launching our Seasonal Sessions. These will be one off five week courses that will take place on Monday evenings from 7-9pm and each season will have a different focus and craft discipline. These sessions will allow participants to explore specific crafts over five two hour sessions. That will cost £175 for 5 weeks.

Mindful Mending – A 5-Week Journey into Textile Repair.
Led by Jo founder of Revive & Revolve - Join us for a slow and creative exploration of visible and invisible mending through this 5-week mindful textile course. Whether you’re completely new to sewing or looking to deepen your repair skills, this hands-on series will guide you through a range of traditional and modern techniques to restore, revive, and reconnect with your clothes. Each session invites you to slow down, stitch with intention, and build confidence in caring for your garments:
You’ll leave with practical techniques, a repaired item (or several!) and a new appreciation for the stories stitched into your clothes. All materials provided. Just bring yourself – and any clothing you’d like to mend. The dates will be 22, 29 September, 6, 13, 20 October from 7-9pm at Making Space. Our June 'Seasonal Session' is Exploring Linocut with Frankie Brown.
EIn this brand new seasonal session, learn all about lino cutting from expert printer Frankie Brown. Suitable for complete beginners, the course will cover everything you need to know about this fascinating craft form. Begin by learning how to use tools safely and what makes an effective linocut. From there you will design, carve and print a black & white linocut, going on to develop this linocut further into a multiblock print using different colours. This Seasonal Session is great for anyone who's never tried printmaking before, or those just wanting to refresh forgotten skills! Frankie Brown has been creating linocuts and perfecting her craft since 2016. She holds a BA (Hons) in Illustration, graduating from the University of Portsmouth in 2011. Frankie previously worked at Handprinted in Bognor Regis; providing studio assistance in several printmaking techniques, one-to-one tuition and teaching in her specialism of linocut. She now works from her studio at Hotwalls Studios in Portsmouth, creating hand-printed linocuts and teaching.
